Our COVID-19 Adjusted Approach

At the Catalyst Group, we are open for business and adhering to CDC guidelines to support the call for social-distancing and heightened, collective community safety. We realize that there are still those of you who need to buy or sell and others who see opportunity amidst the crisis. Our approach is outlined as follows:

For Buyers:

New Buyer Consultations – We are always here to meet with anyone looking to explore home ownership. For now, we would like to prioritize our consultations through video or phone calls.

Video Property Tours – We are glad to schedule a list of properties to video tour together. You can stay comfy on
the couch (maybe with a glass of wine and in pajamas 😉), while we walk you through each property discussing the pros and cons. If you like a particular property, we can discuss a strategy from there.

In-Person Property Tours – If an in-person showing is required, please know that as an extra measure of safety
for everyone, we will ask you if you are currently exhibiting any symptoms, whether you have been isolating, and if you have had any high-risk exposure. Based on your answers, we may decline the tour for our safety, yours, and the seller’s safety. If an in-person tour happens, we suggest the following steps to reduce risk:

-       Wash your hands before the tour to reduce potential cross contamination

-       Use any hand washing stations or hand sanitizer stations placed in properties on tour

-       Avoid unnecessarily touching surfaces during the showing – look, don’t touch 😉

-       Wash your hands immediately completing the tour

Note: We are not supplying gloves or masks because we feel available supplies should be prioritized for the life-saving medical professionals that need them most.

For Sellers:

Listing Appointments – Planning ahead is always important, so if you are thinking of selling, we are here to
help. We would love to video chat about your property and discuss selling strategies. We can put together a strategy that works for you and your needs, and then schedule a follow up in-person meeting when appropriate.

Open Houses – In-person open houses for Catalyst Group listings have been canceled. Whether your property is vacant or not, the potential interaction with an undetermined number of people is a risk that we do not wish to create within our community.

Virtual Showings – We will schedule video calls with any potential buyers to tour your listing at the buyers’
convenience.

Private Exclusive Listings – This is a listing option if you want to advertise your property and entertain
showings only from serious, vetted buyers. The listing would only appear in Compass’ industry-leading internal search system. Since Compass has over 21% market share in the DMV area, your listing will get the largest off-market exposure of any DC area brokerage.

During difficult times, we find ways to continue to move forward while focusing on what’s most important. For all of us, this means our personal well-being and that of family and friends.
